ANYONE TRYING TO DO THIS MAKEUP PLEASE READ AND THEN REREAD THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!!!!!!!!!!!
Alright, If I post this will all you people please stop sending me pm's about how to do this? Seriously. No offence to anybody who did, but I can't keep up with all the same questions, from all the different sources.
Like I stated on another post, this is a similar technique done by Edge Effects on the tv version of "The Shinning" (fango #162) but they "glued" the plastic wrap down with KY jelly and removed it with warm water.
Take some plastic wrap/press n' seal and pull out enough to cover your area eg: arm.
Using Telesis adhesive glue down any hair that needs to. Then stick down the wrap. Using prosaide intop of the Telesis will help when gluing this on and doing the edges.
[/img]
Trim the wrap to fit (use safety scissors) and glue down any stray edges.
Tint some liquid latex to whatever color you want, as this is for Halloween I went for a kinda over the top color scheme. Stipple prosaide in any areas that you want your liquid latex to stick and leave some spots clean so you can roll up some of the edges. (If you want).
[/img]
Here it is with some pax highlighting and some red tones in the wounds (a little over the top again as this is for halloween).
Here it is done. I showed it in bright light so you could see the paintjob, but normalily it would be seen in a fairly dark enviroment. I did a cheesy paintjob in this one but look at all the other options you can do, as well as whatever you can come up with on your own.
[/img]
Burned arm, same thing I just used the press n' seal but ran a heat gun over it to get a cool texture with it first before glueing it down, then just used red pax and black latex to hit all the high points.
This was the first one it is also press n' seal but with a better paint job.
[/img]
Hope this demo helps.
To remove (assuming that you used Telesis not the ky) pour a little Supersolve down the edges and using your hand work it down the INSIDE if the plastic wrap, it will stay mostly inside and work it's way down to your fingers. In the last photo I glued all the high points with Telesis, and did the rest with ky so the skin would slide around a bit. Let me know if there is any more info that I left out. _________________ With enough eyes, all problems are shallow.

Well hindsight's 20/20 right! I should have known that posting ANY photos using household stuff for a makeup, on this site, would start a landslide of pm's, but now I know better. So all those makeups from my kitchen will never see the light of this lab........... HA HA HA HA HA. Just kidding, or am I? _________________ With enough eyes, all problems are shallow. |

It might be a little hard on a seven year old, unless you got one tough kid! Mabye try the ky for applaction for your kid.
I have only used this on arms, necks (works great), and partial chests. mostly to tie into a prosthetic face. If anyone does anything else, by all means post pics.
Mabye I'll go as santa next year. _________________ With enough eyes, all problems are shallow. |

Great effect! As others have written, thank you!
About all the PM's...What's the use of the forum if all the info is done in PM's?
These folks should just post the questions so we can all benefit. _________________ (AKA Craig) |
