Hey, all. This is a piece i finished a couple months back. It's very much based off of artist Alex CF's sculpt of a "realistic ninja turtle" which was based off of Michael Zulli's artwork from the comics. PHEW! Mouth full. Anyway. This was an animatronic for class. It only had simple blink movements, and opened and closed his mouth. Nothing mind blowing, but since there is no video of it in action i figured i could post pics, and get some feedback, especially if your a TMNT fan! I'd really like to give this whole idea another crack some day.

Thanks!

SWEET!!!!!

LOVE the realistic look! I could actually see that working on a "real" mutant turtle

So which of the boys is it?
(Since, if it's comics based the red bandanna doesn't automatically mean it's Raph)

Thanks so much! I really appreciate it. I Imagined the whole time that it was Raph. But i did choose red, incase anyone wanted to make their own decision.

It's over on Topless Robot too!
(although someone else beat me to the "sorry guys - not movie stuff. Just a really awesome piece of fan-art" comment)

Ladies and gentlemen - if they could only find a way to harness the speed of the Internet rumour mill we'd have reached Mars AGES ago ;)

Bahahahaha. Reading those reviews is awesome. "This is a bold move by the studios to reinvent the franchise."

Or maybe it was a project by Eric Z for animatronics class.... I guess only the future will reveal the truth. To f***ing funny.

At least the feedback from the die hard TMNT fans is about 95% positive. You know you've done a great job when...

here it posted again. Congrats for "THE NEW LOOK" and the big score of the new Ninja turtles film. Perhaps you can parlay this into some real momentum for yourself. :)

Woah woah WOAH! Hahahahah, How f*cking great! Funny thing is i didn't even hear about this from the board. Someone saw me today at Savini, and put their iphone in my face with one of those sites up and said "Hey, isn't this your sculpt?" And i was just FLOORED! Not to mention kind of honored. To think general TMNT fans would think my sculpt is a true representation of what they think could be in a TMNT MOVIE!? Talk about the ULTIMATE compliment for a guy like me. Not gonna lie. I've had some fun coming up with idea's for a plot involving this design. But it was all in good fun. Haha, Some day!

Damn! I finally tracked this one down to here. At first I thought the rumors were true about it being in a possible live action film. Too bad thats not the case as this is one freaking incredible sculpt! Beautifully done!

I am a serious TMNT nerd and man I am absolutely stoked to see someone do these awesome ninja's justice.
I am a massive fan of that comic series and I love the darker aspect to it.
My friend you have nailed it! You selling copies by chance?
